Acne during pregnancy and baby's sex?
Has anyone ever heard of a corrolation (or wives tale  ) of having acne during prenancy and you having a  ?
I'm asking because I asked my doctor about the horrible acne I now have and she said "well, maybe you're having a boy"
I was like  lol!
I thought it was funny. I've never heard anything about acne and the baby's sex. I'm 16w and had a super quick u/s at my appointment today, but I didn't ask if she could tell the sex and she didn't mention it either. Oh, and she made the comment BEFORE she did the u/s (the ultrasound was the last thing).

I actually heard the opposite. I have acne and people kept saying  It is a girl.
HOWEVER...I always say for every old wives' tale you hear, someone else will say the opposite.
Maybe they couldn't tell. A lot of times it's at your 20 week.

Oh no, she didn't check the sex. She made the comment before she did the ultrasound.

I never heard this before. But, interestingly it applies to me. With my first pregnancy my skin was AWFUL until I hit about 21 weeks - worse than it had ever been. Then I was fine after that thogh. But I did have a This time around my skin has been basically the same as always and I am having a

funny- im having and my once acne prone skin has never been better....so i guess there is no link to sex- it all depends on your hormones!!!!

Same here. i have some breaking out this time which sucks. We'll see. I think every pregnancy is diffrent.

I broke out a lot when I was pregnant with DS. This time, I have not at all. I still don't know what I am having.
I thought I broke out a lot the first time because I got pregnant the month after stopping the Pill, and I heard that can cause you to break out. This time, I was off the pill for about 5 months before i got PG.

Ok so as I assumed, I don't think there's any corrolation! I just thought it was funny that my DOCTOR said that! Meanwhile, everyone else that sees me says so who knows!
Although... two men did say but wouldn't say why they thought that.
