a wreck of a morning
Freaking out b/c I tripped and fell forward on our stairs this morning.
I had stuff in my hands and don't remember bracing my fall. Now everything hurts and the adrenaline is winding down and I feel all shaky.
It didnt help that when I yelled for DH's help, my DD freaked out and ran upstairs screaming and crying and calling for "Daddy".
Thankfully I got to work safely and my principal sent me home- there was an extra sub on hand  Thank you god.
Now I just have to wait for the dr's office to call back with an appointment to check and make sure everything is ok with

 Ouch! Sounds like a nasty fall. My friend fell off her deck deck when she was about 7/8 months along and the baby was fine. But it's good you're going to call to get checked out just in case. Feel better!

That must have been scary!
I am sure your baby is going to be fine. I hope the doctor gets back to you soon so you can see or hear him and feel better about it.
I was in a bad car accident a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine. I know it will be for you too! Good luck!

Thanks Ladies...I just needed to get it all out.
I'm sure (well, hoping) that everything is fine. Last pg. I fell on my butt hard when I slipped on ice in the winter and DD was fine but I will just feel reassured when the dr checks me out.
The worst part was DH kept asking me if I fell on my belly and I could not remember. I was in such a daze- I know I landed on my forearm b/c I'm getting a bruise there but I can't even tell you what happened!

Wow, sounds like a pretty awful morning. I'm glad you were able to go home from work though!
I'm sure everything is ok with LO - nature built us in such a way that our babies are protected from falls and whatnot

Hope you feel better soon.I fell on the stairs when I was pregnant with DS and I did have some light spotting afterwards but got checked out and everything was fine. Glad you got to go home

Oh Man! I fell several times when PG with my DD. Luckily I haven't fallen this pregnancy. It can be so scary!
Most likely everything is fine but it will be reassuring to see your doctor and hear the baby's heartbeat.

The baby is so well protected that I'm sure he's ok but it still doesn't make it less scary. Hope you feel better soon and let us know what the OB says!!

If it makes you feel better, my mom fell down a flight of stairs when she was 9 mo pregnant with me and I think I turned out just fine.

Hope everything's ok!!! My friend fell on her belly at 8 months pregnant when she slipped on the ice, and she landed on the curb (ouch!) they monitored her most of that day and everything turned out ok!

Thank you everyone!
I was on the fetal monitor for about 30 minutes.....had a minor...ok major meltdown when the nurse could not find ds's heartbeat for about 2 full minutes! God bless her because she knew I was freaking out and she reached over and grasped my hand and said "don't worry, we will find it!"
Finally found it and it sounded weak to me but dr reassured me it was fine- just his position.
Told to take tylenol or motrin for body aches and to rest!
Just thankful everything is ok!
