A major *woe is me* post. SMALL UPDATE
UPDATE:
I called the doctor and asked if the itchiness could be related to my thyroid. They said to come in ASAP. I saw the NP and she did a quick sono-baby is fine. They took blood to check my thyroid levels and something called fractionated alkaline phosphonate levels- I have no idea what that is, but whatever. She asked if I was up for an internal and I said I didn't care either way. She didn't do one. She called an internalist and asked what I can take for the itchiness and they said Claritan during the day and Zyrtec at night. Hopefully that will bring some relief. Then she put the dipstick in the urine sample I had to give. It turns out I have a severe UTI on top of everything else. I was given a script for an antibiotic.
I am literally going to beg my doctor on Monday to give me a really rough internal and get things moving in there.
I seriously cannot take being pregnant anymore. I don't know if i'm just being a big baby, but I really want this kid out of me.
I don't sleep at all anymore. Even when I am exhausted- I wake up every hour having to pee, with a dry mouth, with heartburn, with extreme itchiness. Most of the time it's a combo of all of the above. In between fixing these things, I am wide awake until it is time to get ready for work. That's when I am ready to sleep.
The itchiness is driving me crazy. My liver functions tested normal, I have no rashes- I am just extremely itchy. It's mostly on my feet and the palms of my hands, but it moves to my back, arms and legs as well. I feel like dragging ginsu knives across my body to get some relief. My hands feel like they're on fire.
Everytime I get up from sitting or lying down I feel like I am crippled. My pelvic area is so sore it takes me awhile to be able to move comfortably again.
I am uber emotional these days- mostly with my husband. I go from laughing to being mad to wanting to cry. Everyone at work is annoying asking me 9 times a day how I feel and coming in my office everyday saying- "you're still here!?" I know they mean well but I feel like punching them out.
I have been begging this baby day and night to come out already. I was NEVER into the idea of an induction or c-section, but at this point I feel like going to the doctor and falling to my knees begging him to get this baby out of me so I can have some relief. I can't take it anymore. Unfortunately, my doctor is on vacation this week. I don't go back until Monday.
To top everything off, my one month old cell phone decided to completely stop working. They are sending me a new one but I won't get it until Monday. If I do happen to go into labor- I have nobody's phone numbers to call and tell them.
I am just completely done today.

Re: A major *woe is me* post.
I understand EXACTLY how you feel. That is why after baby #2, I had my tubes tied.
I had horrible pregnancies both times. The first time was soo bad, that the only reason I had #2 was because everyone convinced me that "no two pregnancies are alike'. No but in all serious- I love my kids!!!
Both times, towards the end I begged and I mean begged that Doctors to induce me, give me a c-section...They laughed at me. I think they see tons of sleep deprived, crazy preggos a day. I was no exception.
All I can tell you is "It will pass." I know it's no help, but it's true. As far as the sleeping, forget it. Don't torture yourself. Just get up, watch TV or go online. I Never slept in the end. I was exhuasted, but could not sleep. As far as the phone calls- first tell people- "Don't call me, I'll call you. 2) Let the machine pick up.

That's so funny. I am only in my 11th week and I keep telling DH that I don't think I can do this again- and I'm not even CLOSE to the discomfort of the end that the op is talking about...
And everyone tells me this same stuff- next time will be diff blah blah blah
I'm glad to see someone say it how it is lol, that it $UCKED TWICE!! But yes, I know it will be worth it too...

Re: A major *woe is me* post.
I am right there with you. I have had a great pregnancy up until the past 3 weeks. I do not have the itchy issue but sleep has become a problem for me. I can fall asleep without troubles but wake up 2 hours later with severe heartburn & then between going to the bathroom 4-5 times a night, I feel like i am up more then I am asleep. By the time I get comfy again, it is time to get up again.
Just getting out of bed is a 5 minute ordeal & like you, whenever getting up from sitting or even in bed, my groin aches as if I rode a horse for days. It doesn't help that I am retaining water & my feet feel like bricks.
I don't know how I am getting up daily to go to work anymore. I already told DH, if I make it through next week without having this baby, I am working 1/2 days after that. I just can't take it anymore, I want this baby out!

Re: A major *woe is me* post.
i feel your pain!
ive been VERY luck with a great pregnancy, but now at 35+ weeks Im ready for her to come out.
YEP - still 4+ weeks to go until my sched csection. i have no clue how im going to make it! The heartburn (more like CONSTANT MONTEZUMAL REFLUX) is crazy, from the time i get up to the time I go to bed. I feel guilty taking zantac even though I know its "OK" so now I eat Tums 1000mg like candy. The braxton hicks are more than I can take (cant wait for real contractions) and Im freaking out bc I have SO MUCH TO DO!
i was supposed to start maternity leave on the 24th, but itll be the 17th instead bc I cant physically do my job as an ultrasound tech anymore. i feel like a wimp, but maybe itll help me stay sane a little longer.
Its gonna be over SOON, and then you wont even think about these last few weeks - bc youll have your

Re: A major *woe is me* post.
crashing - about the itchiness ... have you had your thyroid levels checked or do you have thyroid issues?
I have itchy palms all the time and it is unbearable i wake up from the itch and nothing seems to help.
I have hypothyroid issues and the hives/itching are related. I have also had it on the soles of my feet, legs, face etc.
Long shot, but maybe something to look out for?!

Re: A major *woe is me* post.
for me, that was a BIG sign that the end was near! Are you progressing at all yet?
Keep up with the squats, lunges, and stairs.
And the not sleeping thing is totally preparing you for nights with a newborn. For example: my guy ate at 11 last night, was up again at 3 to eat and stayed up until 4:30. Up again at 6am because he pooped - feel asleep at 6:30. Up again at 9:30 to eat, asleep at 10:15.
Hang in there!

Which was the sign the end was near for you?

Re: A major *woe is me* post.
OMG, I could hug you right now....I can relate so much!!!!
I don't have the itchiness though, and I really feel for you there.
I'm not done being pregnant, but I'm SO DONE with everyone and everything around me.
I'm tired of putting on a happy face for everyone. I'm tired of playing along with the "Any day now" and "Woah, you're still here" comments.
Waking up and getting ready for work sucks. It sucks and I really don't care how late I am anymore.
I do have one thing to look forward to, and don't hate me for saying this, but I know when it will all end. I'm having a scheduled c-section next Thursday, and my last day of work is Tuesday. My is breech, so he's giving me a break and letting me know exactly when he'll arrive.
But let me tell you, the laundry list of things I have to do next Wednesday is insane!!
