a dumb painting cabinets question...
I am in admiration of all of you who attempt it and do it successfully - I am scared that I will mess it up!
My silly question is - do you also paint the inside of the cabinets? Or do you mainly just do the exterior part?
I have just basic golden oak & don't even have any pulls or knobs, so it would be so simple and would just jazz it up for the time being - but I am lazy and wouldn't want to do the interior, b/c eventually we will just upgrade anyway, you know?
What did you guys do?

We had our painter paint our bathroom cabinets (it's a whole wall of cabinets). I just wanted him to paint the exterior and the inside of the doors, not the shelves b/c I didnt want to worry about paint chipping when sliding things in and out.

We took them off the hinges and painted the cabinet doors inside and out, but not the inside of the cabinets where we put dishes, etc. We drilled new holes, added new hardware and new hinges, and then rehang the doors. In the end we spent probably $1,000 on painting the cabinets and walls, and it made a huge difference. We have a huge kitchen with many cabinets, so when we priced a remodel it was over $30,000.

didn't paint the insides.....just bleached the heck out of them and used a lot of contac paper.
