Re: 9/11 Question

I have a fierce fight reaction. Could I have..maybe, but then again maybe not. Have I ever done anything sort of like this...sure, but not on sucha grand scale.

You can't know for sure.

Re: 9/11 Question

Isnt saying, "I dont think anyone here would" the same thing as saying "you would not?"..it just confuses me as to why you asked the question when obviously you already doubted that anyone would do anything, so then once again, why ask? Thats what I dont get.

The flight was not packed at all. I believe they were headed to hit the White House, so they were not just taking over, they wanted to kill themselves as well as others.

I didnt watch the show, just from what I read.
I could be wrong, if I am please someone correct me.

I would do it, if there were leaders. I think there would be so much adrenaline built up, I'd want to fight as hard as I could.

Re: 9/11 Question

I think I would react in some way.. not sure if I would be the first to rush into the cockpit, probably not... but I know I would do something.
Last week I was faced with a scary situation and I even suprised myself with the way I reacted. I don't want to get into details about that situation, but the point is I reacted in such a way that I shocked everyone. That said, I think you made a very broad generalization when you said no one here would react... and I hate being made part of generalizations. I proved to myself and everyone last week that when faced with danger, my survial instict kicks in. Being female has nothing to do with survival.

There is no doubt in my mind that I would try to overtake the hijackers, plus try to kill them before they could harm anyone else. I'm a nut job. I don't fear anything.

Re: 9/11 Question

having been in a situation where a gun was put to my head, I fought back. And fought back like H E L L!!!!!!!

I've also seen firsthand (UP CLOSE) someone very close to me get shot in the head. my reaction - i punched a police officer, and fought like heck to get to closer to the scene. they had to subdue me!!!! I would never wish that experience on anyone.

BUT - it made me stronger - both experiences -

others in similar situations, may have reacted differently, but for me - i had enough adrenaline in me to fight an army at the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 9/11 Question

I missed the show but I heard there were only like 46 passengers on board.

Im an always take charge person , the leader, my family always turns to me - basically Im in charge- prob why my hubby married me, LOL, but I will say this, on all trips we take I am the one to stay awake in case if ever an emergency and I am the one always aware and prepared for the worst and to take charge and care and my family knows that, which really ***** because of the pressure and I cant sleep BUT would I charge by myself? Is that what you are asking? Or are you asking if a WOMAN could be a leader and take charge of a situation as that? I dont know if I could solely take charge- in all honesty. with a group without a doubt!

Re: 9/11 Question

I would if I knew the fate of the other two planes..knowing I was going to die regardless , without a doubt I would....

They KNEW they would not survive it, they KNEW it was a suicde mission, so thay had either a choice of trying to save their lives by over taking it, or dying not trying.

You wouldnt have to ask me twice....

Say you were on that Philadelphia flight...
HONESTLY...

DO you think you would have tried to overtake the hijackers?

Absolutely. I think adrenaline would have taken over and I would have grabbed whatever was available to take them on. If they didn't have guns, there would be a fair chance I could beat their terrorist azzes!!Chat Icon

Did anyone ever see/feel the weight of my pocketbook? I could have taken them out with my anvil weighing pocketbook with one fell swoop.

If anyone saw the show, all these idiots had were some small pocket knives and a hatchet. If enough people used the resources aboard that plane (coffee pots, etc.) they could have beaten them down. Even if some got killed, I would give up my life in the chance that others could live. At that point, they knew there was nothing to lose.

The only HONEST answer I can say is I don't know how I would react until I was in the situationChat Icon

True....BUT i think that us knowing now that this has happened before...

would now change how people would react in teh situation...

I sitll don't think any females here would rush the cockpit...but like leeners said if there was some mob mentality of it...maybe

I think that is a situation you really can't answer unless you were in it and hopefully that situation would never happen again.. I think some of them on the plane knew what had already happened to the other planes...your survival instinct takes over......

yes true....

i sitll find that act soooo amazingly brave...

And i think i can honestly know that i would freeze

I would be sh$tting my pants and probably freeze at first but if I knew it was do nothing and die for certain or take a chance, I think I would take that chance... I say this now but you never know..

You come up with great questions to think about Red...... Chat Icon
