A twin or full bed for a toddler?
Do you think a toddler is better off with more floor space (twin bed) or a full bed (less floor space but not too big for the room at all)?
Have to choose b/w a full or a twin and not sure what is more important, a toddler having a larger bed for "down the line when they are older" or having more floor space in the room to play?
Room can fit either size bed easily, but twin would of course leave more floor space.

I would choose a full bed because I always end up sleeping with my ds when he is crying at night... So it would be more comfortable for me!! As Long as you have the room full would def be my choice!

I would chose a twin size so she has more floor space. We don't have a large house and I just don't think a full is necessary. I'd rather her have room to play if she wants.

We went with a twin. dS's room is not huge and we wanted him to have room to play also.

Re: A twin or full bed for a toddler?
We got a twin for DD because while there is plenty of room in her room - even for a queen, there is NO way we could have a full in the other bedrooms in our house. I wouldn't want one of my girls to have a twin and one to have a full - I can only imagine the complaining when they get older!
All of us had twins growing up - and my brother is 6'4 and never "outgrew" his bed.

We chose full size. Ds #1 moved into a larger room and even with the full size bed has ampel floor spce. We really don't let him play in his room though, so it wasn't a factor for us. He's doing really well in his full size bed and transitioned well from the crib to the bed and from the smaller room to the larger room.

Tough decision!!! Everyone has good points. I am so unsure what to do and have to get my butt moving. Poor kid is wayyy too big for the crib.

Re: A twin or full bed for a toddler?
For now we are just getting him a toddler bed and using his crib mattress. I'm having twins and not finding out so down the line when we know what we have we will create rooms for the kids. I'm thinking bunk beds if we have at least one more boy.

We have a full for ds1 because his bedroom is pretty large. Ds 2 has a twin because his room is puny. Neither of them play the bed rooms

Twin
but that's just because dh and i grew up with twin beds, and both feel they're fine for any kids. Don't need a bigger bed til they're sleeping in there with someone else

We have a twin. It's a better fit for his room. If you don't have a toy room you may want to go with the twin. If not, less mess to clean in their room if you go with the full.
