*Updated 8/2* 26 weeks today and hanging at the hospital, already!
So on Friday I had a pretty bad bleed. Came to the hospital and the Dr said it was "significant"! That made me nervous, but it is due to my Placenta Previa. So here I lay on hospital bed rest for who knows how long. Stony Brook has been great, I have a private room and the staff is awesome!
I had one Dr tell me last night they want to keep an eye on me for 2 days (I assumed that meant if nothing happened I would be going home). Then I had the chief resident telling me that I should make the room homey since I could be until until the boys are born and the average Gestational age for Triplets is 32 weeks. So I am prepping myself for a 6-8 week stay and hoping to get good news today or tomorrow that I can go home.
I am most worried about DD, she is sad I can't come home. But we are making plans so she will be well taken care of at home and even if I do come home, I will be on bed rest, so no school supply shopping for me! I have great friends and family stepping in to help. We are very lucky. Well, thats' all for now, will keep you updated.
8/2 update: SO I talked to the Dr and DH and it looks like I will be staying here for the duration. I am OK with it, it is the best thing for the babies. The room is private, the staff is nice, so it should be OK. The boys are great, all about 2lbs a piece and very, very active!

I hope all is ok and they'll send you home after a couple of days! Tons of thoughts and prayers that they stay put and keep on cooking as long as possible.

i'm so sorry! I have been in the hospital on bedrest for 2 weeks already and may be here for several more weeks. I am not gonna lie it sucks but at the same time you are in the best place for you and the babies. You will get the constant care and monitoring that you need to keep the LOs safe!! hang in there! if you need to chat FM me

My best to you and the boys. I was hospitalized for two weeks due to contractions and if there is one thing I learned is to not listen much to the residents, because the decisions are made by the doctor. My doctor will visit me every morning about 1 hr after the resident and most of the time they would say different things. The resident kept telling me that I was going to stay in the hospital for the duration of my pregnancy. So, you never know...you might go home (like I did). It will be full and restricted bed rest (probably) but at least you will be home with your little girl. Always ask your questions to your doctor....after all, he / she will make the final decision.
