OMG Helen, i'm so sorry you're going through this! I'll be praying for you and your Bean and hoping for the best!
Don't feel you need to stay strong for your DH - you're allowed to be upset about something like this!
Thank you!! I let myself break down today and it felt like such a relief, it was building up since yesterday. Hoping we get better news tomorrow with a more detailed cardio exam!

That sounds like really positive news! Little does your LO know he/she is already causing all this drama! I have heard of many cases were the "hole" corrects itself by birth. Enjoy your wine and let out the tears.

that sounds like really positive news under the circumstances ~ you and your lil bean are in my continued thoughts and prayers!!!!
PS Let it out ~ DON'T hold it in ~ you don't need the extra stresss of keeping it in and if you need to cry then cry! It is worse to hold it in!

That is a good update!! I teared up when I read that you just let it out and cried bc I was going to say that on my last post but opted not to. I remember that feeling and it was so hard to stay strong. Hang in there, we are all rooting for you and LO!

i shed a tear reading your post....you are very strong to be going through all of this. Glad to hear the good update, no one wants their LO to have to get surgery but if its something repairable thats the important part.

I can't even imagine how scary this is for you. I will keep you in my prayers. Hopefully everything will be ok. I just wanted to say that I had open heart surgery when I was younger for a hole in my heart (asd repair) at st. Francis. My cardiologist was Dr. Reitman. That hospital is one of the best. I pray it closes up, they usually do. But if not you are in good hands.

I can't even imagine how difficult today must've been for you, but it does sound that you and your DH have good reasons to be hopeful, and I am glad for that. I too know several children who have had holes in their hearts - 1 closed on its own before birth, 1 closed on its own after birth, and 1 did require surgery but all 3 are healthy and happy little girls today!
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to update! You are so strong and I am so happy to hear how everyone is treating you so well through this. I hope you continue to get good news and everything is ok with your little bean.
With all that you're going through, are you still going to remain team green? I couldn't even imagine!
I want to hug your DH for how good he is being!! I'm so glad the doctors are so nice and helpful, too! Continued good thoughts and vibes your way!!

Thank you for sharing this! I think once we know for sure if we will need surgery we'll have to research where to have it done, St. Francis, LIJ or Columbia. Just like my doctor said yesterday, we are faced with a good problem to have- living in a place where we have our choice of hospitals qualified to handle these issues!
