3 day potty training. MY ARSE
Im almost two weeks into using the 3 day potty training method and my ds is STILL having accidents. He starts pre k in 2 and a half weeks. I dont think its happening. Im so upset. Hes 3 and a half he should be getting this by now. Ugh just venting.

Is he mostly dry?
I think it took a few weeks for us to be accident free when going out. Especially when things are exciting. We stayed home for a while. Just takes a while for it to sink in.

Don't feel bad, my DD shit her pants until after 4 years old.
Would just go in a corner and take a dump in her underwear.
Nothing worked. And i mean NOTHING.
She was pee trained super fast- never an accident- even overnight
I feel your pain.
When she finally pooped on the potty DH and I popped the champagne.

I'm sorry - it's rough. The 3 day method took us roughly a month. It was worth it in the end though. Hang in there!!

I think once he has an accident at school he'll be embarrassed and fully stop with the accidents. I was in the same boat last year!

Our first attempt was a disaster because I didn't listen, and jumped her right into underwear. I had to stop training and take a 2- week breather. My second go-around, I did the commando thing with much better results. Is your dc going around bottomless (or commando)?

I literally watched her every move and would catch her and soon as she started twinge. I also used a lot of rewards. I gave a hershey kiss to her every time she had success and we did a chart to earn a toy.

You said it, it sucksssss. I wanted to start sooner but my ds is also speech delayed so he wasnt really able to tell me when he had to go. Hes more verbal now. I just know if he cant start school I will feel like a failure and my mil will thrown in her fing two cents

Potty training stinks! For us the 3 day method took more like 9 days. But even 6 months in DS still has pee accidents at least once a week. Try not to stress about it too much. If it happens at school, it happens. Not much you can do about it.

I firmly believe the 3 day potty training method was sent from the devil to make us all feel like failures as parents
I used bits and pieces and it took more then 3 days for sure with both kids. Don't beat yourself up, I swear a switch goes on in their brains and they just get it.

DS2 still had accidents on and off for the first 6 weeks after he was trained. He would do really well at daycare, but then have accidents at home. He has been really good recently, but it was definitely tough. He's the kind of kid who waits until he really has to go because he doesn't want to stop what he's doing to go to the bathroom. He tells us now when he has to go, but I'll still ask him if it has been a while. Gentle reminders definitely worked well for him. I hope things get better soon!

Even dh is getting on board that ds wont be ready in 2 weeks. Were most likely going to have to send him in January.

I know we were training around the same time. I agree that it didn't take fully within 3 days either for my DD. She's had several accidents in the past few weeks, but has been getting a lot better. I was getting frustrated too, but I realized I was getting lazy about reminding her and watching her carefully. I started to make sure to remind her to tell me and giving small rewards (m&m's) for making it to the potty and it improved a lot. Granted I know my DD is on the younger side (27 months) so that may not be helpful to you.

Is there a school you can send him to that takes kids that are not potty trained? My DS just turned 3 and is non verbal so I was waiting until he can communicate with me more... hopefully. But he goes to a school where he gets his services (including speech) where its OK if they are not potty trained yet.
