Potty Training Quote of the Day
So Bella is completely potty trained for peepee. Wakes up almost every morning dry, doesn't pee her pants anymore.
Poop, well that's a whole 'nother ballgame.
She craps her pants, ALL the time with the exception of the 4-5 times she has done it on the bowl.
I have tried everything from attempted bribes with a Barbie Truck and candy, to stickers and dancing and screaming like a madwoman when she poops.
She will literally pee on the potty, walk into the other room and poop in her pants.
It's perplexing for sure.
So,after yet another poop experience I asked Bella why?
and my very smart daughter looked me right in the eye and said,
"I POOP IN MY PANTS BECAUSE I LIKE TO MOMMY"
Now what?

At least you have her peeing on the potty. Logan STILL has no desire. We have this discussion all the time and he explains, very calmly that he likes to go in his diaper and "will not go on the potty, even for treats"

OMG - great line!!
There was a video that my sister used (along with her favorite treat) and I remember my niece used to sing the potty songs all day. I also remember the z100 morning DJ recommending it a few years later.
I'll ask her this weekend what it was and FM you

Question - have you told her she has to clean it? It worked for one of my friends.
She had her son trying to clean himself in the bathtub screaming how disgusting it was. She made him clean his underwear. She knew she would have to ulitmately "clean him", but the kid was on the potty pooping pretty regularly after that.

OMG KELLY WE HAVE THE SAME CHILD!! Alex has been pottytrained for MONTHS! She will pee and poop on the potty at home, in a restaurant, at a friend's house, in the mall...
BUT...
She WILL NOT poopy on the potty at school. EVER.
Everytime I would ask, Alex, why didn't you go poopy on the potty at school instead of in your underwear? You do it everywhere else?
And her response, without fail, is always:
"Because I want to Mommy"
I think it's a control thing, so I've decided to just not make an issue out of it. Hell, she won't be pooping in her underwear when she's 15, so there's no sense in stressing out about it, right?

Oh no she didn't....
I have no advice of course, as we aren't at that point yet... but I just had to tell you that despite your frustration I love your kid and her honesty (feel free to laugh hysterically at me when I'm going through potty training hell of course  )

My mom did this to my sister when she was little, she had my sister try to clean up. Worked like a charm, she was pooping on the potty in no time.

Don't feel bad though - Jake is the same. I basically put on a pull up on him at night, tell him to go in his room and poop, and he comes out when he's done and I change him.

The thing is she knows ALL about peeing and pooping on the potty and how EVERYONE does it. She tells me she will get a reeses/barbie truck when she does, but she spent 5 minutes on the potty this morning, only to get up and crap her pants as soon as I put her pull-up back on. And yes, I still have her in a pull-up because of this very reason. She ruined way too many pairs of underwear because of her love of pooping her pants!
She is an evil genius!

With Kaila it took me a week or 2 to figure out when she was about to.. and now I've got it all down pat.
She'll be very quiet, stop talking, look like she's in la la land and so I ask her if she has to go. Occasionally she'll say no and fight me but I put her on the potty anyway.
It was tricky though.. I threw out a lot of underwear this month

Sarah's like this. Just this week I told her that if she keeps pooping in her pants I'm going to put one of her brother's diapers on her b/c only babies poop in their pants. The next day she pooped on the potty 3 times.
I know, it wasn't the nicest way to go about it but I was so frustrated and it just popped out.
