2 month immunizations

Dd is getting her first round this Friday! What should I expect afterwards? Any tips? How long should I plan on her being " out of commission?" Tia!

My DD just had them on Friday.. She was fine! She screamed but as soon as the doc was finished, I picked her up and gave her a bottle right away and she was fine! That night and the next morning she had a low grade fever, between 99.5-100. The doc said not to give her Tylenol unless it hit 100.5. Other then the fever, she was fine. Not fussy, not extra tired and no redness at the site of her shots. Good luck, I was super nervous too!

My DS napped most of the day. We went out to dinner and he didn't make a peep. No fever or anything... The next day he was fine..

I think only 1 of my girls had a reaction. Just cranky and wanted the paci. She may have just been hungry a lot earlier than usual because she was fine after she ate. Then they both slept 11 hours!!! It was great! I'm bracing for 4 mo shots now. :(

DD just got them this afternoon. She screamed when getting them, but then calmed down once she was back in the stroller. She's been pretty lethargic since then - seems a bit out of it. She also spit up a lot of her 7pm bottle, but not sure if that's related. No fever yet, so hoping that stays true.

I thought I'd be a crying mess, but my doc did it so fast, I was able to hold it together!

ETA: unfortunately, she just started projectile vomiting, which I've learned is a side effect of the rotavirus. Ugh!

Our DD was fine just vry cranky and sleepy. They can get a fever from it tho

DD was a bit lethargic. She was very sleepy and only woke up to have a bottle. I had to hold her all afternoon and evening. At 4 month she received the same shots and only developed a low grade fever and a little fussiness.

I usually take her home after her shot and give her a nice warm bath.

2 month immunizations

We just did ours last thursday as well. DS screamed after the shot - but calmed down after a few. Gave him about half a bottle and he fell out.

We went had dinner as well and then went home. With the exception of changing his diaper and feeding a bit - he slept from 2pm- 2am. He was a bit cranky and was "warm" no real fever.

Gave him acetaminophen every 4 hours thru Saturday evening and on Sunday he was totally fine... his leg didnt even bother him

2 month immunizations

DD cried, DH picked her up immediately and she calmed down. We put her in zip put PJs so it was easier to put her clothes back on and she slept on the ride back, I also gave her baby tylenol she was a little fussy, gave her a bath and she slept through the night.

The hardest part was seeing and hearing her cry. She was a bit fussier and more sleepy than usual for a few days after, but was it related to the shots? IDK but it was nice to have something to blame the crankiness on! I agree with putting a zip up sleeper on to make it easier on you, and def talk to your dr. about giving tylenol. Good luck!

Are you getting the DTAP? DS just had them done and was pretty much the same as usual. He slept through the night as he always does and ate normally.
