2 1/2 year old word pronunciation
My son will be 3 in February. He is quite the little chatter box but he cant prounce "F" words. I know he is still young but should I be worried about this now or is it normal?

DS will be 3 in May - F is a hard sound to make, I don't think DS makes perfect F's yet.
L's also sound like W's (wook instead of look)
there are a few others its normal, i think they are still developing sound and pronounciation at 6/7 years!!!

DS is 2.5. He is very articulate but has trouble pronouncing "G" as in "go".

Re: 2 1/2 year old word pronunciation
DS will be 3 next month and speaks very clearly but for some reason, he doesn't pronounce "r" sounds in Spanish, but he does in English! He has no trouble with F or L.
Given the responses I'm guessing that at this age they just have some trouble with certain sounds, I wouldn't worry.

DS has some problems with certain sounds - he calls muffins "fuffins" but, he has no problems calling me mommy or mom. He also calls waffles "faffles" but, he has no problems with other "w" words...

My DD is 3 and still can't pronounce F's most of the time. She still calls our dog, "Danklin" (his name is Franklin).

Re: 2 1/2 year old word pronunciation
My DD is also 2.5. I think there is a very wide range of what is considered normal at this age. DD pronounces F words fine - I never noticed any issue with the sound but, that said, she spoke very early and I've been told is very clear for her age. If you tell your DC to pronounce the word annunciationg the "f" - can he do it? If so I would just point it out when he doesn't and he will catch on. I remember when DD first started talking a ton she would pronounce the L as a W sound and I would just correct her and show her my mouth making the sound and now for as long as I can remember she has been using the "L" sound correctly. I think once your DC starts preschool they will alert you if there is a problem. I know that is where some kids in DS's class were told they needed speech evaluations. I wouldn't worry about it at this point.

My oungest cant say 'f' words either. She says "bun" for fun and "boot" for foot. I don't worry about it at all
