10-23 NON TTC Topic

Hey Ladies... I haven't posted in a while and we have to make another night out. Of course not Bertucci's.

Okay... I'm bring this one up b/c someone in my office ate my yogurt in the fridge so the question is:

What things (besides work related) annoys or bothers you at work?

here's my list-

-people that take your food or use your coffee mate in the fridge
-when someone stands right over me at my desk when I have a huge cubicle. I need space man! LOL
-when someone is showing me something on the computer and they touch my computer screen. Hate that.

Anyone else?

when someone leaves their dirty dishes for you to clean up! I work with a Sales guy, and he was in the office yesterday, made coffee (I don't drink coffee and he knows it). He left his dirty coffee cup inthe sink for me and didn't clean out the coffee pot. NOw he's gone travelling for a week to customers and wont' be back until next Thursday. THis is the second time he's done this, last time he had a trip to Europe and left dirty plates utensils and a cup for me. He was gone for a month, so I cleaned it. But this time he's only gone a week. I left the dirty mug on this desk. And there is no way I'm cleaning the pot. Let hiim say somthing to me. I AM NOT THE MAID.

Hi Erica!! I hope that you're feeling well

I like this! I have a ton, but I'll just put my biggies...I hate:

- People who come into my office & stand behind my desk looking at my screen - there's plenty of room on the other side so stop violating my space!

- People who come in to see my part-timer & then stand by my desk yelling across the room to her while I'm trying to work. (I have a big, long office & she has a small desk in the far back...I'd move her, but there's no where that I can put her)

- I hate that I work with people who need their computers to work, but hate & refuse to learn how to use them...even after 10+ years of using them. So instead, they get all frustrated & call me up every day in a RAGE over little things...implying that I'm bad at my job because they can't change the font size in Word. My friend & I are praying for a mass retirement in the next year or so!!

Great thread!!!

1. I hate when I choose to eat at my desk and work and people still come by my office and see me eating and try to talk to me....OR comment on what im eating!! "Sooooo..turkey today huh?" Ummmm YES AND!!!! Leave me alone!!!

2. When people fax something and it's to the wrong number and the darn thing keeps ringing and no one stops it!!!

3. The printers and copy machine are right outside my office....so NATURALLY Im the expert on printer and copy repair and maintenance!!!!

OH MY GOD....here is my HUGEST pet peeve:

one door down - i have manager A and next DOOR to him is manager B...

They will be on the same conference call and Manager B is VERY VERY VERY loud....

So not only to I get to hear the conference call through Manager A's speaker phone, I get to hear Manager B speaking (because he's loud) and THEN ECHOING on Manager A's PHONE.

GOD FRICKIN FORBID THEY TAKE THE CALL TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a one-person bathroom, and there are 2 things that bother me about it:

1) When someone goes in there, takes a nice stinky dump, then walks out. I go in to pee, then of course as I'm leaving, someone is waiting right outside and thinks I'm the pooper.

2) The aforementioned bathroom, although one-person, has a stall inside of it (with a door). There's an unwritten rule that if you open the main door and the STALL door is closed, that you just wait outside of the main bathroom (not outside of the stall by the sink) - so I hate when people are waiting in there while I'm peeing. Call it social pee anxiety, but it makes me all self-conscious when I'm peeing and someone is standing right outside the door. Oh and if they try to talk to me... forget it!

OMG, this drives me nuts.
then they get annoyed when you say you don't know where they are!
