WOW a part of me was disappointed
Ok ive posted on here that ive been having weird signs that i might be PG. First the WEIRD cravings, tiredness, weird crampings, etc etc.
So i decided, take the darn test and FIND OUT!!
Well ofcourse it was negative and im actually disappointed!! I feel i can honestly say the only reason im not disappointed is bc we have a trip to Italy planned in Feb and i wouldnt want to be PG for that. But other than that, i think i wanted it to be positive.
Oh no!! I cant let this become a new obsession. Hes SO not ready!!!!!
I think im gonna cry

Re: WOW a part of me was disappointed
well, i'm not gonna lie, that is exactly how the whole ttc thing came about for us! in july we had a 'scare' where i had every prego symptom but got a BFN. at first we were freaked out that i might be prego, but when i wasn't we were actually disappointed... we used protection during august cause we were in italy (all that wine and espresso!). then in september we started ttc officially. be careful or you'll get the bug!!!

Re: WOW a part of me was disappointed
If it makes you feel better, I battled with wanting a baby all summer and then realized we just weren't there and decided that I didn't want to be PG now...well, now I'm 8 weeks PG and it was totally a surprise...I spent 2-3 days in complete shock. I hate that I struggled with being THRILLED right at first...but I just wasn't expecting it and it hit me out of nowhere.

Re: WOW a part of me was disappointed
same thing happened to me in August.. I was VERY late and on the pill and had a BUNCH of weird thinsg happening.. I finally took a test and I was so sad.
I guess after all the stressing I realized it wouldnt be so bad and wed make it work.
Of course I think it is just not a good time for us with all the stuff I do right now, but soon enough I will be TTC.. I just need to wait for my time.

Re: WOW a part of me was disappointed
I had the same thing happen. I was 5 days late in Sept. and really thought that I was PG. When I took the test and got the BFN and then AF came I was disappointed too. I am so back and forth about all this, the realistic part of me doesn't want it right now, but the mom in me can't wait any longer! At least we all are in the same boat

Re: WOW a part of me was disappointed
I had a similar situation last month... I had forgotten when my last period was (i was off the pill because of a lapse in insurance), and thought I was late. When I got the bfn it was a strange mix of relief and disappointment. I didn't in a million years think I'd be disappointed...
The emotional part of us wants a baby, but the realistic part knows that we aren't ready and that we have much more that we want to do as just the two of us before we try...

Re: WOW a part of me was disappointed
I am going through a similiar situation now. I have been having VERY strange symptoms lately but I am on the pill (I know it is not 100%). I was speaking with my SIL over the weekend & telling her all that was going on. She thinks I might just be PG. She wanted me to test but I didn't want to as I don't want to be disappointed (even though I know that this is not the right time). I should be getting my period by tomorrow. So if not, I am going to be testing tomorrow.
I am filled with a million different emotions. So considered this as being something to be continued in the next couple of days!!!

this is exactly how I felt - I never battled the desire yet - just got married, didnt even dawn on me to start trying yet - it just happened! When I got the BFP (3 times!!!) was in complete and utter shock.... just starting to feel excied about it now at 18 weeks!!!
