What to send friend with micro premie in the NICU
My friend since kindergarten, who lives in another state, gave birth to her child 15 weeks early. I want to send or do something, but I am not sure what. Any suggestions?

Gift cards to restaurants would probably be useful.

Food or restaurant GCs. They are going to be so stressed that the last thing they need to think about is food.
You could also do a cleaning service.
I know when I get stressed, the first two things that I can’t keep up with is cooking and cleaning.

I agree with gift cards to nearby restaurants...maybe try to find some with healthy options.
This was by far the most useful thing people gave when my newbie was sick.

Gift cards to a nearby restaurant, a cleaning service at home. A nice basket of water/ snacks for the hospital is good, a comfortable pillow because the NICU chairs seem to suck! A basket for coming home (lots of sanitizer, blankets, etc) there’s also a site you can order these cuddlers (I’ll have to find the website ) for a preemie. I would also maybe send preemie diapers and clothes because she will need them. When my son stayed behind in NICU, I put a picture of all of us by his incubator, a soft lovey, and when he was able to wear clothes, I made sure I dressed him in a onesie and left clothes at the hospital for him because the clothes they had didn’t fit him. If she has another child, maybe experience gift cards or a craft bin to keep that child occupied while his/ her parents are at the hospital.

Gift cards to a local restaurant are good. Call and talk to her. I had a preemie and people reaching out helped me a lot. Prayers to the baby.

My best friend had two preemies...I got her brewers yeast, Guinness, and lactation bars/cookies to help her milk come in.

Re: What to send friend with micro premie in the NICU
Later on, she will likely need preemie clothes. My child was much closer to term but everyone thought they were being helpful by buying me clothes that he would grow into eventually. He was floating in anything larger than preemie size. I had to run out shopping for more preemie clothes while all the gifts of larger sizes piled up. However, while the baby is in the hospital, this is probably not as big of an issue. Just something to keep in mind for coming home. I hope the baby does great!!!

Agree with restaurant gcs. You could see if the hospital has a Starbucks or dunkin inside and get a gc for that.
Maybe a shutterfly gc and a nice frame or album.
Really good hand cream. Washing my hands constantly with their harsh soap destroyed my hands. If she's pumping you could do some nursing tanks and comfy zip up hoodies.
Preemie clothes, fleece blankets, tiny socks but maybe wait a while on those. We didn't dress dd until she was moved to an open crib. Then we needed button up sleepers only and they asked us to bring fleece blankets to put over her. Preemie sized swaddles and sleepsacks were great too once she was home.
