Re: Inconsiderate people
It seems like most people walk around as if no one else on earth exists but them.
But then I know there have been times where I've been guilty of doing something to irritate someone else, without realizing it at the time. Like I wish I could find the random stranger I pissed off and apologize. I'd like to believe that *most* people don't mean to be rude, and probably don't even realize they did it. I have no idea what's going on in their life or how they misunderstood the situation.
But yeah, sometimes I'm BAFFLED by the things people will do and it's hard to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Not that this is your situation but sometimes I purposely don't move so that the person has to say "Excuse me". If you come up to me while I am in the middle of doing something, you should say "excuse me" not expect me to move out of your way.
really?
Yes. If I am standing somewhere and you want to be where I am standing why should I just move out of your way because now you want to be there? Shouldn't that person that would like me to move say "excuse me" first?
I think saying I purposely don't move seems like I do it on purpose which is my statement. I"m thinking of a time I was in Marshall's and looking through clothes. I was in the process of looking and some lady comes in and stares me down to move so she can be where I am. That sort of thing but I don't create the situation to cause the need for an excuse me.

I call people out on their shit all the time.
I called a guy on the train an "inconsiderate tw@t" the other day when he tried to push past me (lol TRIED TO...because he didn't, he backed the hell down after I said something) I loudly squealed "REALLY?!?!" to some woman who was in the middle of the aisle at the supermarket, chatting on her phone blocking anyone from passing, then said "can you kindly move your shit?!" to her.
I am loud and abrasive and I don't give a fck.
Lmaoooooooo I love you

Inconsiderate people
I've had enough of people who (i) stop at the tops of the stairs/escalators for whatever stupid reason, mostly to look at their phone, and (ii) park their shopping cart in the middle of aisles so no-one can get by. It happens all the frickin' time. Seriously, how much self-unawareness is possible. I intentionally lecture my kids about this all the time because I don't want them to do it to other people!!!!

I don’t purposely not move, but I will do my thing and the other person can wait for their turn.
Right. You take the paper towel and step the side so the next person can take some. Not saying she should have stood there wet. From the OP she stood here drying herself in front of the dispenser. Why? I know why - rude asshole.

I had someone stop in front of me in the middle of n aisle the other day. I couldn't go around her and I said excuse me three times. There was another guy in the aisle that kept looking at the two of us because the lady didn't even acknowledge me. She finally started to walk again and stopped short and I hit her with my cart. I said " oh sorry" and walked away.

I was food shopping the other day. The register next to my line opened. I had 2 items. A woman pretty much hip checked me to get ahead of me. She had a full cart. She looked at me like 5x. The kids were with me so I was polite but I so wanted to tell her off.
OMG one time in Target I was walking past all the cashiers on my way to self check out. As I was passing one register it opened at just that moment. An old guy who was on the next line saw it and raced over to the newly opened checkout stand all the while staring at me as if I was going to jump on that line. When he got there, he turned around and stared at me with a triumphant look on his face and was sneering at me! Like, "Ha, ha I got here first!" Like a fuking 2 year old!
I yelled out as I was passing, "I wasn't going to that check out anyway, but rock on with your bad self!"
People really are something else!
When DH and I first moved to Cali we were at target in a single line for multiple checkouts. A new one opened and the cashier said “I’ll take the next person on line”which was me, and the woman behind us jumped in front. I loudly said someing which she ignored. A minute later the register next to her opened and when I walked over she was like “see you didn’t have to wait long”. I looked at her and was like “I’m pretty sure they teach you in Kindergarten not to cut the line.” She didn’t have any response.

Re: Inconsiderate people
My DH told me yesterday that if I'd been in the car with him in the morning, I'd have lost my mind. He was apparently driving in the right lane on Jericho, cruising along, when all of a sudden there was a huge backup. It turns out there was a guy in the left lane who hadn't cleaned the snow off the roof of his car, so it had all slid down onto his windshield.
So he STOPPED HIS CAR IN THE LEFT LANE, GOT OUT, and was pushing the snow off. DH told me if I'd been there, I'd have blocked traffic because he's sure I'd have stopped my car in the right lane just to tell him off.
I was so angry just hearing this story.

I would have lost my shit! No way is that acceptable. And I’m sure the guy didn’t have a care in the world. And it’s not his fault that he didn’t clean off his car!! Oh I’m angry now just thinking about it m
I hate people today because i work near the road test site. So on any given day, a holes are either blocking our driveway or moving at a snails pace. I almost hit some one today who was turning right slower then slow. Road was totally clear but she couldn’t push the gas.

Re: Inconsiderate people
When I think of a inconsiderate person, I equate that to someone being intentionally rude. That’s different than someone just being absentminded, in my opinion.
I know for me, especially at 6 months pregnant and haven’t slept through the night since October, I’m frequently in my own world while I’m strolling through a store or public bathroom. I’d feel sad if I knew someone were taking that the wrong way.
That said, some people are just outright intentional bastards. That’s a different story, though. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference- but I don’t think all douchy people mean to be.

The people who stop at the top or bottom of escalators get bumped by me. Wake tf up. The people blocking movement on subway platforms/train cars/anywhere staring at the phone get bumped by me. Shopping cart aisle blockers get yelled at. There's too many gd people in this city for it to be all about you.

Re: Inconsiderate people
To the op, I lol'd through the whole story, imagining myself there, not lol-ing at the time I'm sure.
Yes, the woman has ocd clearly, but the towel business? Nope not having it. Get out of the way, not everyone has an hour to play patticakes and I'm dripping wet. No nope no way. She gets the big bawl out.

Absent minded people get a pass and it's usually because once they realize what they are doing, they apologize. I've been there. I sometimes have so many things going on in my mind that I zone out doing basic things and once I realize I'm blocking someone from passing or waiting at a light and it turned green like 5 seconds ago - I apologize to the other person. Inconsiderate people just mosey on by and do their thing. No consideration for those around them.
