Re: BYOB - Bring Your Own Bag
Was just in stop n shop . I had my own reusable bag and we always do scan it...so we scan and bag as we shop... best invention ever! But as we were checking out at self checkout there was a ton of people scanning there and using boat loads of plastic bags. I was curious so I looked and there was an option to enter how many plastic bags you were taking so they can charge you for them. I highly doubt anyone even noticed it...i had to look for it... and if they did I doubt many were honest. I don't see this being effective at all when it comes to self check outs.

Just bring back all paper bags. I prefer them to the plastic ones that tear before you get home anyway. Plus, they fit NOTHING in them
But, plastic replaced paper due to the amount of trees being cut down to produce them. Plastic bags were supposed to help the environment.

Oh, I thought it was because they are more "durable"...but then as years passed, they made them thinner and thinner. Even so, recycle the bags and make new bags. People recycle enough paper to not have to cut down more trees to make bags.
