Those who swaddled...
When did you stop? My 11 week old still has that reflex where his arms flail around. I swaddle at night. At what point is this not safe?

DD was swaddled until 5 months. It was the only way I could get her to sleep long stretches. Once they start rolling over it is no longer safe.

My first was out of the swaddle after about a month. My second was in and out (but mostly in) until she turned a year! She really just couldn't shake the startle reflex until then. She also hated rolling and never rolled in the crib until she was well over a year.

I stopped early on. Just their preference.
You should stop once the start rolling over. You can still swaddle, but arms must be out.

I stopped all my kids around 5 or 6 months when they started to roll over. After that I swaddled with their arms out. They liked the tight feeling and it helped them sleep.

Re: Those who swaddled...
It's safe until your child starts rolling. You probably have another month until that happens. Once the baby starts rolling - in either direction - s/he needs arms free as to not get stuck face down.

I stopped at a month. The pediatrician told us not to swaddle with her arms in so I didn't really see the point.
