Password on your phone
Do you have a password on your phone? I do but DH does not. I am thinking about taking mine off as its a PITA but I worry as its a work phone if someone were to find it.
Also if an emergency happened no one could access my phone to contact my emergency contacts right or would there be a way to bypass the welcome screen?
TIA

Re: Password on your phone
I don't. it's way too much of a pain in the ass to have to key in a password every time the screen goes black...which is a lot.
I have my work email on it, but it only saves so many emails, not my whole email account (it would be too big) so I highly doubt anything that is accessible on there would be of any use to anyone other than me
I don't have any trade secrets in my emails anyway

Password on your phone
if you have an iphone when the numerical keypad comes up, there is a election for emergency on the bottom left. you can hit that and make a call... or if you entered your medical ID info you can hit medical ID and it will bring that up with emergency contacts to call... and it will let you call them

Password on your phone
No. I used to have a password but then DD took my phone and almost hit the emergency button thinking she can get to You-Tube. So I got rid of it. DH doesn't have one either.

Password on your phone
I do on both. My work phone we have to. If I were to remove it I would be violating our policy with regards to our phones.

I do, but it's one of those pattern swipe codes, so it's very easy to enter.

Re: Password on your phone
I have a password on my phone because I save all my passwords, banking, & debit card numbers, etc. on it. Just about my entire life is saved on my phone lol. I think anyone who knows me would know what the code is, but just in case my phone is stolen or lost, I don't want to risk someone having access to all my banking info.

Me too
And it is because of work, one of the attorney's that I work with got into my phone and took a zillion pictures of himself and then set a passcode I didn't know.
So, yeah. I do.
(Now he just does the think that toddlers do when the phone locks itself from too many incorrect passcodes entered )

Re: Password on your phone
I have one. I think it's funny that people say it takes too much time to enter it when they need their phone...it takes like an eighth of a second for me to key in four digits.
If someone got my phone, there is a lot of stuff on there that I wouldn't want them to have access to.
Namely, using up all of my gift cards that are saved to my Starbucks app.

I would actually only put one on if we went out somewhere (in case it got lost).
Otherwise, No patience for it.

Password on your phone
Yes - I do. My phone is mine. I don't want my kids getting into it and buying games, ordering things from Amazon, etc... They already figured out they can take pictures with it locked.
I do have my work email on my personal phone but, that has a separate password.

That is what I use too! DH uses a 4 digit pin. We know each other's "codes" though, we mostly use them to keep the kids off our phones.

Re: Password on your phone
I do have a password and I hate it! I have to have a 6 digit password if I want to check my work email on it and I need to be able too!
I know its quick but half the time I do it to quickly and mess it up plus one time for 6 months once I had to have a password set in order to get out of any app on my phone (home button was broken it would have cost me the same amount of money to fix it as it would have been to get a new phone) and it was torture so I was excited when I didn't have to have password anymore!

How do they know if you have it on? Do they spot check?
I'd take that shit right off the second I walked out the door every night if they did.
