Acorns
Does it seem like they are excessive this year? Driving through side streets sounds like popcorn. And they randomly fall and hit my windshield! I don't remember ever having this many around.

Out of control this year! I sleep with the window cracked open and at night the sound of them hitting the street wakes me up. At work, a lot of our parking spots are under trees with acorns and the sound is so loud when they hit the cars. I park much further away just to avoid those spots because I am afraid they will damage my car.

It is beyond insane. I feel like I am going to need a new roof because of the constant crack of the acorns all day and night.

Yes, our driveway is completely covered in them. I saw that newsday article yesterday too and felt relieved it wasn't just us.
I run to my car now because I have been hit in the head with them multiple times at this point.

yes last year too. I'm in CT and they were awful last year and it was a terrible winter. This year doesn't seem as bad yet

ok, News 2 said its not an indicator of the winter to come but how mild our spring was. LET the squirrels enjoy!!! it makes them soooo happy
