Acorns
Anyone else have killer acorns in your yard? 
These things are coming down and hitting our patio SO hard and so loud! Some even bounce and hit the window. I don't remember them being so bad before. I have even had them hit the roof of our car when driving and they ping so loud!
Guess it's going to be a bad winter

I had never heard of the acorn and good winter/bad winter connection until recently. A couple of weeks ago they were saying on the radio that there aren't that many acorns this year so we are going to have a mild winter.

Not sure about the connection between acorns and winter...maybe they're coming down so hard because it's been so windy?
Either that or there are some angry squirrels in those trees!
