May Moms - SS Card and Birth Certificate?
I know a few of of us had our baby around May 4. Did you get your childs social security card and birth certificate yet? I have not and it feels like it is taking too long. With DD#1 I remember getting it in 2 weeks! Who can I call about this?

I had my son in January and it took over 6 weeks to get both. With my daughter who was born in 2013 i had both in under 3 weeks, so I think it's just delayed this year.

Thank you! I hope that's all it is. I figure it is weird BOTH haven't come yet. I guess the government is just slow lol

i haven't got ds ss card yet. born may 4th. i'm in CT and i had to go to town hall and pay$20 for hid birth certif

For both my kids it took a little over a month to get both.
If you had to call, the birth certificate is through the town the hospital is in (town of north Hempstead registrar for ns manhasset). Soc security may be harder to deal with, as its national.

May Moms - SS Card and Birth Certificate?
I remeber not getting SS card for dd1. (we were in Utah at the time) but anyway I went to the SS office. They had me have my ped write a letter stating she was born with certain info. I went back with the letter and they gave me a card (or ailed it again I can't remeber exactly) but I did get it.
I am going to wait another week or 2 and then call the SS office nearest me

May Moms - SS Card and Birth Certificate?
Thanks everyone!! FINALLY got the birth certificate yesterday. Now I hope the SS card comes so I can stop worrying about it!! PLUS I need these documents for work, her bank account, her baptism etc etc and I need to get a move on. Thanks again all! =)

Yeah dd was January 25th, we didn't get her birth certificate till early March.
