April 2011 Moms - Did you get birth certificate?
We are still waiting. Got SS cards 2 or 3 weeks ago but no sign of birth certificate yet. Should I be concerned?

Yes, Leah was born 4-15 and we have it...ss card, too...we filled out the paperwork in the hospital if that makes a difference

DD was born 4/11 and we got her SS card and birth certificate a few weeks ago. I don't think you should worry though, it seems like some people just have to wait longer

Leah was born 4/7 and we got her birth certificate last week. We are in Nassau, so ours comes from Mineola. Are you in Suffolk?
I wouldn't worry until the end of this month.

DD was born 4/10. We got both a few weeks ago. The birth certificate came first and then a day or two later the SS card came. We filled out the paperwork in the hospital. She was born in Nassau, but we live in Suffolk.

I got his ss card and birth certificate about 2 weeks after he was born and both came in the mail within 2 days of each other.

I live in Suffolk but delivered at Winthrop which is in Nassau. I thought the birth certificate is issued in the town you delivered in.

I was at Winthrop on the 7th 
You are probably right about it being filed where the girls were born. Call Winthrop and ask them.
