How long to recieve birth certificate and SS card?
Im just curious how long it took for everyone to recieve their birth certificate and social security card. we had DS on FEB 11th and only have 30 days to add him to policy but they wont let me do so with out a copy of birth certificate. TIA

I think with 1st dd it took 4 weeks for birth cert, and about 8 for ss card.

10 days for birth certificate, 3 weeks for SS card.

Depends on the hospital. It took almost three months for me. Where did you deliver?

Really? We added DD but had to send a copy when we got it.
DDs ss card and BC took 2 weeks to come.

Her SS card came when she was 1 week old and her BC came when she was 2 weeks old.

You should be able to get a confirmation of birth letter from the hospital if your BC isn't processed yet. I would call them.
