Best way to get to Newark?
We have to fly out of Newark for an upcoming trip. Only place that offers a direct flight and it was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. 1/3 the price of JFK.
Traveling is 4 adults and one baby. What's our best bet? Car service? Long Term Parking? We leave and return on a Saturday.

The Parking Spot. There are 3 locations there. Pick one (read reviews) and use a coupon. They will have the car waiting for you warmed up when you get back.

Best way to get to Newark?
i live in NJ- so not sure the best way to get there from LI... but if you decide to drive yourselves.... we've used Vista Park i can't even count how many times- for long-term, off-airport parking. it seems a little shady at first LOL bc their office is in the parking lot of a howard johnson HAHA but you drop your car off there, their van takes you to your terminal and they take your car and park it in the lot. when you get back, you call them and they'll pick you up and have your car waiting for you at their office.... works out great, and theres always coupons for like $10 a day.... the only issue might be with the baby in the van to the terminal, bc its about a 5 minute drive or so... DS is 5, and we've never put him in a car seat or anything in the van... but not sure how you would feel about that with a baby, or what vista usually does....

take the LIRR to Penn and then take the path to newark airport. penn station to newark airport is approx 30 min. its EASY. i do it all the time

This would definitely work if we didn't have the baby. I just think it will be way too much to carry and schlep on the train between our luggage, a stroller and carseat.
I'm kind of anal about the car seat. We are bringing it to St. Lucia as we have a fairly long car ride from the airport to resort.
Thanks everyone. I think we are leaning toward LTP. I am going to call to ensure we can put a car seat in their van.

You can take a train directly from Penn to Newark Airport and catch the Airtrain there.
Depending on what time of day/how much luggage you have, this may be the easiest bet.
Otherwise, I'd recommend the Parking Spot.

Yeah - the PATH is more like the subway. It leaves from 33rd and 6th and you'd have to take 2 PATH trains to get to Newark Penn Station and then catch a NJ Transit train one stop.
