How many times to try a food?

I've read different things and I am looking for more opinions.

I gave my son (he will be six months on Friday) puréed peas last night and he didn't like them. How many more times would you try them before moving on to a different vegetable?

Id still try 3 times to allergy test and move on. My kids didn't like them either but now one DD loves whole peas.

With toddlers they say to introduce a food 12-15 times along with a preferred food, but with infants it's just about learning. They are still getting the main source of nutrients with formula or BM.

Me too. But after the second night DD still hated the peas, so the third night I mixed it with pear. I chose pear because it was already established in her repertoire of well received non allergenic foods. She still didn't like it but it got us through that 3 night testing period. Now at just about 12 months she loves whole peas as well

How many times to try a food?

At least 3 days in a row if nothing more to make sure they're not allergic.

Don't rule it out in the future though if they don't like. They change from day to day. One dd will like so et I g, ext day not and the. She will again.

I always kept giving randomly later on....it takes a while for them to like something. But for now i'd at least get through the 3 days.
