7-9 month old solid food meal times?

What are your meal times for DC at 7-9 months old?

We are currently doing...

depending when he wakes up, he may nurse or go right for breakfast
7:30am Breakfast
nap (sometimes 2 naps) and nurse in between
12:00pm Lunch
nap and nurse in between
5:00pm Dinner
nurse and bed

I'm not sure how it's working out.

Re: 7-9 month old solid food meal times?

I'm interested in seeing the responses.

Currently DS is only doing solids twice a day but we will be starting three times a day next week.

wake up and nurse between 6 and 7
nap 9ish
nurse between 10 and 11
lunch around 11:30
nap 1230/1
nurse 2ish
5:00 dinner
nurse and bed 6:30/7

When I start breakfast next week it will probably be around 8.

After looking at this I think I could change it up a bit. The length of his naps are always changing so it's hard to make a nursing and solid feeding schedule. I'm still confused about how long his nursing sessions should be, they seem to have gotten shorter now that he started solids.

Re: 7-9 month old solid food meal times?

I am having problems w/ this today--DS stopped taking his last bottle of the day. He'll be 8 months this week--are the babies dropping bottles? He lasted all night without waking to eat, though he woke 14 hours after he ate dinner...Chat Icon

Anyway, wake around 6:45
7:45 bottle
10:00 breakfast--oatmeal or yogurt
1:00 bottle
2:30 lunch--either yogurt or a jar
5:00 bottle
6:30 dinner (meat/dinner jar w/ something else for dessert)
8:00 bottle and bed

Re: 7-9 month old solid food meal times?

We're working on this schedule and his naps are still a bit unpredictable, so that usually has an effect on mealtimes.

8am - up for the day, breastfeed
9 - breakfast
11am - breastfeed
1pm - lunch
3:30pm - breastfeed
6pm - dinner
7pm - bath/bedtime routine
7:30 - 8pm - breastfeed/bed

He's also still eating twice at night Chat Icon Chat Icon But we're working on dropping those feeds!

Re: 7-9 month old solid food meal times?

DD is 8.5 months old and she's been on this schedule consistently for a little while now...

7am wake-up - 6oz bottle
**nap somewhere in here**
10am - 6oz bottle
12pm - oatmeal and fruit
**nap somewhere in here**
3pm - 6oz bottle
5pm - oatmeal and a veggie
7pm - bedtime bottle 6oz

ETA: Dr. wants us to add another solids feeding in the morning so shes eating 3 solid meals a day. We'll probably start doing that within the next week or so.

Re: 7-9 month old solid food meal times?

8 months old...

7- nurse (or 8oz bottle of EBM)
7:30- oatmeal and jar of fruit, maybe some cheerios or pancake too!
11- 7oz bottle of EBM
12- yogurt & veggie jar
2- snack/cheerios/ puffs/whatever
3- 7oz bottle of EBM
5-veggie/meat jar and jar of fruit
small pieces of whatever we are having for dinner
7- 8oz bottle of EBM (or nurse) and bed

Since my son has decided to use my nipples as chew toys, Im pumping and giving mostly EBM in a bottle.
