No surge? Negatives OPKs

I am kind of driving myself nutty trying to figure out why I never got a positive on my opk this month.

For the past 6 months it has been like clockwork...very clear positive on CD 16. Now nothing. Yesterday (CD 20) the second line started getting much darker for all three tests I took. Now this morning it is faded again.

now I am stressing because I am worried that I didn't know when I ovulated. I have been out drinking twice for parties, too since I didn't think I was in the 2ww.

Do NOT worry about the drinking! I've been trying for a year and half and at first I tried not to drink in the 2ww because "what-if" and still nothing. It wouldn't effect anything even if you were to conceive this cycle.

I didn't ovulate this month either. apparently sometimes you don't , it could be due to stress. ( I am sure mine is)

Live your life normally (ie: drinking is ok) until you get a BFP. You don't share blood with the baby until much later anyway.

I was told that some people don't, they recommend taking progesterone two days after Ovulation because the brain does not tell the body to produce progesterone. At least that's what I was told. Of course the way you find out is by being monitored by your RE.

I wouldn't wore about drinking. I drank heavily the month I hit my BFP. I credit the drinking to helping me cause for 2 years I did everything safe and decided I didn't care anymore and drank. I got my BFP that month.
