Breast to Bottle Transition (posted on wrong board!)
Hi! I am going back to work in 3 weeks and I need to get my DC off of the boob and quickly! If you were in this situation how was the transition from breast to bottle? I tried giving a bottle last night and my DC did not want anything to do with the nipple.

My friend had the same issue, and she couldn't be in the room initially. She had to have her husband or mom give the bottle because the baby wouldn't take it if the boob was in the room.

I would recommend having someone else give the bottle besides you. Also, once you get the nipple in her mouth, squeeze a few drops out onto her tongue. We had to do this with my first son before he understood that it was giving him the same thing as my breast.

We went from evenflo to dr browns to finally tommy tippee.

as the others mentioned, try different bottles and have DH offer it to dc while you are not around
