Infants needing water
When did you start giving your DC water in a bottle? DD is 6 months and my pharmacist said I should be giving her water daily?

I gave my DS water in a bottle around the 5/6 month mark. It was summer and hot. I felt like he needed it. It wasn't a daily thing though.
Plus I did it to get my mom & mil off my back about giving him water. The ped said it was OK.

i gave dd a sippy cup with water around 6-7 months. she never really drank from it but i tried.
around 11 months i started mixing water with juice and she takes a bit of that - still wont drink straight water

6 months or later.
I don't think their bodies can process plain water very well--and they're on a predominantly liquid diet anyway so they get enough fluids.
Plus it might fill them up and make them not drink as much formula/BM which is more important.

I stared giving my DD water in a sippy cup when she was around 7-8 months. This was shortly after we started giving food. She was EBF, and never took a bottle. The water was more for practice with the cup than for nutritional need.

My doc said yes at around the 4 month mark bc. It was a very hot summer. He said no more than 1 oz at a time and only in addition to formula.

we started at 6m with a sippy. He will sometimes actually take some sips, but he mostly just plays with it.

Infants needing water
I started at 5.6/6 months with a straw cup after meals. They maybe had an ounce or so a day. I never gave water in a bottle. Straw cups are said to be better for oral muscular development then hard/soft spout sippy cups.

7m offered in sippy. She had no interest. Last month I was drinking out out of a water bottle. She grabbed it so I gave her some. She now has a full sippy cup of water available which she takes sips of throughout the day but she still loves her bottles of formula.

6/7mo. If they drank an oz per day ea it was a lot. Once I started cutting back formula around 10 mo b/c they were eating real food, they got water in sippies at meals.

I started giving DD a sippy around 6mo, just to get her used to it. She really only started drinking within the last few months though, she's currently 14mo.

Only gave dd 1 oz of water 2x a day when she was constipated. No need for water at this age. No nutritional value.

We started DS on water from a sippy at meals around 5 months. It was a hot summer and I didn't feel like he was peeing enough.
There's really no right or wrong time to introduce water. The only real concern is drinking too much water that it replaces formula intake, which includes the nutrients the babies really need.
