Trying to conceive and frustrated
I have been trying to conceive for about 7 months now with no success. I have done the ovulation kits, used pre seed, and even basal temp. My ob/gyn did a sonogram and said she is not convinced I have polysistic ovary syndrome but she saw some follicles so the jury is out. This answer did not sit well with me since I'm 31 yrs old and desperate to conceive. She referred me to Gold Coast fertility and told me the specialist would be able to do further testing needed. Something about this is making me feel uneasy. She didn't draw any bloods and it seems like she quickly sent me to a specialist. I have never had a dr tell me they don't know if they believe a sonogram. For the past 4 months I get stabbing pains on my left side days before my period. I am so confused on what to do. Do I change ob/gyn and start new elsewhere? Has anyone heard if Gold Coast fertility in syosset is good? I'm so frustrated that nothing is happening
Help!!

Set up an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist- you will benefit from having a doctor experienced with handling fertility issue work with you. I do not know anything about the practice you were referred to but if they take your insurance it cannot hurt to set up a consult.

Re: Trying to conceive and frustrated
Thanks I will do that for sure! Should I change ob/gyn though. Not so happy with her answers but dont want to waste anymore time jumping from drs to drs. Not sure what's best to do about that

I would just wait to switch OB's if you start seeing a RE they will take care of ordering all of your tests, etc. when you become pregnant they will follow you for the first 8 weeks or so.
