Anyone else frustrated trying to make OB appointments?

I honestly can't stand it. It takes ages to find a date/time that works. I keep telling them my availability and they give me a hard time. I don't have a job where I can just walk out- sometimes, if I'm lucky I can work around it. But other times, I can't. Luckily my OB office is literally down the road. You'd think that would give me more flexibility. But no.

Geez when I was there today for blood work I heard them on the phone trying to make an appt for someone in January!!!

Does anyone else feel frustrated with making appointments? I have to bust my butt to get there for my 10 wk appt. Can't imagine how it's gonna be the rest of the way. I mean seriously, why is it so hard to get an appointment in the late afternoon? I don't get it!

I'd love to know if anyone else out there has this frustrating experience. Thank you!

Yikes, I'm sorry. I've never had a problem making an appointment with my OB. 99% of my appointments have been in the morning. They are so quick that I just go into work about 1/2 an hour late or so.

Sorry for the frustration. It's only going to get worse because you'll have to start going in more often as you progress (not until your 3rd trimester though.)

Today I had a lunch time appointment and you know how OB offices run....my appt was 11:35 and I wasn't seen til 12:20. I was so nervous I wouldn't get back in time. Who needs that stress, ya know?

Luckily my OB had great hours for my schedule- I Like night appts. so DH can be there and he books appointments until 9pm , so I never have any issues

I have the same problem.

As a teacher I only get so many days to take off. I need to save those days for maternity leave.

I get death glares when I try to schedule the appointment around 1/2 days or days off.

That's so frustrating! I usually book 3 or 4 appointments at a time so I don't run into any problems. I've also learned to book them first thing in the morning so I don't get caught in their back up.

i never had a problem..... the 10w appt they had to give a larger time slot for bloodwork and history & sono so i had to take one at 12, 1, or 2- otherwise no problem getting 530 or 6pm appts
