When did DC hold their own bottle?

DS1 didn't hold his own bottle until he was 12mo. What is the average?

Re: When did DC hold their own bottle?

well... dd is 14 months, and she still doesn't lol it's not that she CAN'T, she just doesn't bother. I would say around 12-13 months, she started wanting to hold her afternoon bottle and drink it herself. during that very short lived period of time, she would occasionally hold her bedtime bottle as well. but then almost as soon as it begun, we got rid of the afternoon bottle, and she went back to being lazy.

Around 13 months. DS was being lazy, mostly. DH couldn't take it anymore one day and somehow got him to hold it on his own.

When did DC hold their own bottle?

Since 6 months she can hold it but has 0 interest. She likes to cuddle when being fed. This morning she held it while I used the bathroom. I came out she dropped it on the bed and crawled over to be cuddled, laid back and opened her mouth. She's a little diva.

I feel like my DS might be on the early side - he always has his hands on his bottle while eating!

Re: When did DC hold their own bottle?

She still doesnt (11 mos in a week) She can hold her sippy cup, so i know she can hold her bottle... Except when i give it to her she turns it upside down... and 2 of her bottle times are right before she falls asleep. And she would just rather play with her feet or rub my hand during a bottle.

Re: When did DC hold their own bottle?

DS could hold it at around 3 months. But only for hubby. I think he had no choice when hubby fed him. He was holding it full time by 6 months... But I like to hold it for him when we cuddled at bed time...

DD - exactly 6 months old. Once she could, I never had to feed her again. It was blissful.

DS - He's been able to hold it since 6 months old BUT he's totally lazy and rarely will actually do it himself. So annoying. Chat Icon

11 months.

I never pushed it because I loved holding her. Now she runs around the house with her bottle biting on the NUBY and making a mess everywhere Chat Icon
