Bleeding update #2...not good (a little TMI)
So I went on the pill to control the bleeding. I came back with an update and told you all.
(If you don't know I had some really unusually bleeding while ovulating for the past 6 months. Had a DNC to see what was up and all came back normal. Doc put me on birth control and said it HAD to be hormonal.)
So first month on BC went perfect. All the bleeding stopped.
Second month on BC? I ended up in the hospital. I started spotting, then light bleeding. Last Saturday I went to a movie. When it was over I got up and had leaked all over myself.
After about 12 hours of off/on heavy flow I started bleeding through a tampon AND pad every 15 min. So I was told to go to the ER.
I was put on Provera (not Depo-Provera) to stop the bleeding. I went to my doctor and she concluded, for now, she does not know what is going on.
So I am going for a trans vag tomorrow which is ALWAYS fun! The doctor wants to "see" what's going on.
She also said that there is a procedure she can do that burns the lining of my uterus.....which means no kids. But she said that its a last resort since we are thinking about kids. But since I'm 43 it might make sense in a year if we decide no kids.
So that's my update. I will know tomorrow once the TV is done. Having problems? Lets stick a big wand up your ****.
You HAVE to laugh sometimes right?

UGH, I'm so sorry this isn't getting settled! I hate to even suggest this since you are still in your early 40's, but that's when things like this started for my mom and aunts - have they considered it having anything to do with peri-menopause? I HATE to even suggest it at that age, but like I said, my aunts and mom all started around that age (and only my mom had kids).

Its ok to say it. Its one thing I didn't speak to my doctor about...however I TRUST her. I would assume she would say that it could be. But she hasn't. I certainly can bring it up and its a valid point.

When I had weird mid cycle bleeding issues it was due to polyps. But if you had a DNC then they would have seen them then.

My sister is going through the exact same thing.. She is 35 and it's not early menopause. They did the ablation (burning of lining) and still ended up with the sporadic bleeding. The Drs are clueless as to what's happening at this point. If you find out more info, please let me know.
