swaddle me blankets? i'm hearing all different things about them. some people love them and others feel like the baby is in a straight jacket b/c they cant move their arms
i want her to be able to move, so i freaked and took it off my registry.
is this wrong?

From what I understand, it's really baby's preference. Some sleep much better when they are swaddled because they don't flail around in their sleep and wake themselves. But some babies like to have their feet and hands free. And some babies like to have one or the other tucked in.
I figured it can't hurt to try one out.

not the swaddle one but the miracle blanket and that had to be the best purchase I did for my DD.

I did and I got 2 of them. I used one about 2 times, Katie HATED being swaddled. But it was easier to use than a regular blanket. Although the regular blankets swaddled her tighter.

I didn't either. I figured you get so many blankets for gifts and from the hospital - I figured if she likes to be swaddled I'll use one of them.

Yes, but if you're a moron, like I am...you'll never get it half as tight as the nurses do. I LOVE the Swaddle Me!!!

DD does not like to swaddled and kicked out of everything, she hated the swaddle me more since she couldn't kick out it. It's really was a waste, i used it once, and it's sitting in the drawer doing nothing.

I got the miracle blanket, but I ended up returning it. James likes to have his arms out, so I knew he'd want no part of it. Plus, he sleeps ok, so I didn't need it.

I registered for it and got 2 of them. I will buy more if necessary. A lot of babies calm down when there are swaddled and dont have their arms and legs flailing around- plus it will be getting cold out then so... we'll see I guess!
