When did your LO drop their morning nap?

I am just curious what age your LO dropped the morning nap or just one of the two naps per day?

DD is only 10.5 months but I am thinking this may happen sooner rather than later. She has a lot of energy and needs 3+ hours of awake time between naps and 4+ hours before bed. It is a struggle to get both the naps in and she ends up going to bed later than we'd like her to because she just isnt tired - and her 2nd nap is happening so late in the day. She is generally happy during her awake times which is good and rarely yawns or scratches her eyes - she never shows signs of being tired lol. Anyway we had a party to go to one day and we pushed the 1st nap back a bit and that was all she got and did great. I did 1 nap a day for her when she was sleeping in late while sick and also did good. I do like the morning nap because I can shower and get stuff done but at the same time I see positives to the one nap a day too! Anyway just curious to get your feedback and thoughts!

DD was about 10 months. She started refusing the second nap and was only sleeping from 10:30 till around noon which left her a wreck by bedtime. After desperately trying to keep the second nap I eventually gave up and just tried to move her nap later. Now she typically does 1-4 which is amazing although now that DH is back to work I'm trying to figure out how to shower!

DD only takes one morning nap and has for a long time. I notice she's start to stay up longer before the morning nap and it's starting to become a late morning nap or sometimes even early afternoon.

When did your LO drop their morning nap?

Around 12 months my dd consiolidated to 1 nap. Only once in a while does she do both and she ends up going to bed later than I like. So I try to keep it to 1 nap a day. I actually like it because I find I get more done in 1 large time frame than 2 smaller ones. And its much easier for me to run a few errands in the morning with her awake. Also we take Mommy and Me classes in the morning as well.

I agree with this 100% - I can get more errands done while she is awake rather than rushing back for her nap(s) like I normally do. And yes I can get more housework done in 3 hours then when it is split up.

Around 13 months or so she dropped to one nap, but it is still in the morning for about 1 and a half to 2 hours.

DS was forced to drop it at 14 months because the daycare he was going to only had afternoon naps for that age group. Otherwise, I'm sure he would have continued with it. He's 4 now and still takes a daily nap. He likes his sleep!

When did your LO drop their morning nap?

Around 17 months she was transitioned to one afternoon nap from a morning and late afternoon nap. She is 2.5 and still takes a nap from 2-4.
