Question for those coming off the mini pill

Regular poster in hiding here- DH and I are going to start trying for another baby in just a few weeks

I have 2 DC already and BF both, so I went on the mini pill after giving birth both times. I remember after going off the pill the first time, that I got AF like a week or so later, which surprised me. I figured it would continue in the same general pattern as it had been while I was on it, give or take a few days. Just wondering if this is the norm after coming off the mini pill, so I know what to anticipate this time around. What have others' experiences been? TIA!
