Re: Question: If you don't ovulate...
That is the case for me, but if you do not ovulate you can get your period. You can have an LH surge without releasing an egg.

Re: Question: If you don't ovulate...
I have very irregular cycles and there were times when I had a period but based on the CBEFM and other OPk's I did not ovulate.

Best way to know if you ovulated (other than going to the doc) is to temp.

Question: If you don't ovulate...
Thanks everyone. I ovulate on time every month. I have had some blood when ovulating with my EWCM for the past few months. Went to the doctor and she said I was fine after doing an internal (whatever its called).
Now, this month..I should have ovulated a week ago and I got nothing. No EWCM..nothing. So I'm a little concerned.
Doc said wait and see. So I will wait and see.

Re: Question: If you don't ovulate...
You absolutely eventually bleed if you don't ovulate. I don't usually ovulate (have PCOS and my hormones are out of whack) but the lining can't build up there forever. It has to shed eventually. It's not technically called a "period", it's called "anovulatory bleeding." When I don't ovulate, my cycle is about 70-80 days long.

This. Once the lining builds to the point where the uterus can longer sustain it shedding occurs. And while it looks like a period it technically isn't. In order for it to be a true period it has to be the shedding of the lining because of the correct change and fluctuation in hormones.

There are various reasons why you could O later than usual.
As soon as DH and I started TTC I started Oing 4-5 days later than usual, and I was always very regular so it was strange. I still have no idea why, but nothing was wrong.
