Question for those that don't ovulate

How did you find out that you weren't ovulating? (I apologize if this is a really stupid qustion, i'm just trying to understand it all). Were there signs or symptoms, or were you already aware of a diagnosis that you had that would keep you from O'g?

I've never been diagnosed with anything and assumed i was O'g normally (i would usually get cramps on either 1 side or the other around CD 14 every month), but when i started using OPKs (used then for 3 months) i never got a +. I covered almost the whole month too so i don't think that i started too early/too late.

I also always had very normal 29 day cycles. Occasionally they would be a day or 2 longer or 1 day shorter, but now i'm on CD40 with no signs of AF and multiple BFNs from CD 32-36. Could this be related to problems with ovulating?

I'm sorry this is so long. I just feel like as soon as i start to understand one thing, there comes another curve ball Chat Icon

Re: Question for those that don't ovulate

I wouldn't get my period for months at a time, and when I would get during a natural cycle (no clomid, etc), my cycles would be 45-55 days long.

Re: Question for those that don't ovulate

I was diagnosed with PCOS a long time ago. Never had regular cycles while off BCP until the past year.

RE did a sono and said my "on time" cycles are anovulatory.

Me too... you can also have your dr check your progesterone to find out if you've ovulated. Chat Icon

Re: Question for those that don't ovulate

I went off the pill and never got my period after that. They tried giving me provera to induce a period and then they did blood tests on day 21 to check for progesterone rise that would indicate ovulation
