Estimated weight..How accurate are they?
So yesterday was my sono for the Estimated weight. I am 36 1/2 weeks. My DD Ava was born at 6lbs 2oz and this baby is measuring 6lbs 3oz already. Just wanted to know how accurate these sonos are.

Estimated weight..How accurate are they?
My sister is an OB and she always tells me that the sonos can be off 1lb either way. So baby can be between 5lbs 3oz - 7lbs 3oz.
I have my growth sono today and can't wait to see what he measures at. Now I have an idea of what he should be around 32 weeks.

Estimated weight..How accurate are they?
My doctor was spot on with DD1, and not from a sono - just by feeling her from the outside! Will see what happens with this one - they said she was 7 lbs 1 oz at my sono on Tuesday and I am due today!

I heard 1 lb either way. I just had my 30 week sono today, this baby is already 4-5 lbs!!! The doctor felt my stomach and said "There's a big baby in there!"

both of mine were RIGHT on, like to the oz
at 40w my sono tech said DS measured 8.5ln and he was born 2 days later at 8.7lb
at 38w4d i was told DD was 7.3lb and she was born 2 days later at 7.6lbs

I gave birth to my second daughter in February and they said she was going to be over 9 pounds. She came out weighing 8 lbs, 1oz. My first daughter they said 9 too and she was 7, 14

Not accurate
DS #1 was told he was going to be almost 9lbs - he was 7 10
DS 2 - was told average he was 8lbs 15oz

Estimated weight..How accurate are they?
I was told DS was going to be 9 - 9 1/2lbs. He was born 10lb, 9oz! I think I am the only person I know whose sono was off in the wrong direction like that. Lucky me

The day before DS was born they told me he was 8 lbs 3 oz and that was being generous. 24 hours later he was born at 9 lbs 4 oz lol

I had a sono 2 days before Dd arrived...she was estimated at 8lb 12oz and was actually born at 8lb 5oz

DD - Said she would be well over 10lbs. She was born 8lbs 8oz.
DS - Said he would be around 7 1/2lbs. He was born 9lbs 4oz.
I would say that in my case, they were fairly inaccurate.

Right up to hours before my delivery, they were estimating a 8 plus pound baby and she was 6 lbs. 15 oz.

About 7 hours before I delivered, they doctor told me to brace myself for a 9-10 lb baby...DD was 7lbs 3ounces

My friend just had a baby. She was told her baby was 8lb3oz and two days later she was born 6lb5oz.

I had an appt on a wed and they said 7lbs 14oz...I delivered 5 days later and he was 7lbs 14oz

+1lb for me. My first was estimated to be born at 8.5lbs but he was only born at 7.5lbs.
I didn't get an estimate for my 2nd b/c he was early.

Estimated weight..How accurate are they?
Both of mine were very close, off by less than .5oz. I have heard of them being pretty off for others though.
