Go to European wax center , they are really good! Try just getting a regular wax this time, then decide if you want to do Brazilian.

I totally agree! I will NEVER wax anywhere else ever again!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend it. I hate waxing! But this place is awesome!

I have been getting it done for over 15 years and I am quite used to the pain, however small it is at this point. Just pop 2 tylenol about 40 minutes before your appointment and you will be good. Also, don't do it right before your period. Ideal time is a few days after it's over.

If you ever get it done, you will not be able to go back to not doing it, guaranteed! Chat Icon

The key is to go to someone who is very good at it, and will be very fast and very efficient! So, never just walk into a nail salon, go to a center that specializes in waxes and preferable to someone who comes recommended. I was actually lucky to find a woman who does it out of her own house, lives 5 minutes away from me and the whole thing takes about 5 minutes.

I waxed everything for years until I decided to laser it for good.

It hurts yes, but to me, its worth it.

Also, you probably want to "trim" before you get there.

I haven't had hair in years and I kinda love it.

I heard that laser is working than waxing...no?

Chat Icon I never read your experience, but OMG! Hilarious... well, for us, not you. Chat Icon Thank you for sharing though, it totally made my day and sealed the deal that I will NEVER EVER be going to get waxed.

Am I missing something? DOESeNT it hurt like hell???

Of course it does, you're having your pubic hair ripped out! Though I wouldn't think more than pushing an eight or so pound baby through your vageen. FTR, I've never given birth so I can't confirm this theory.

And do you have to SHOW your hello kitty (thanks nene for that term) to the technician doing the waxing?

Um, how else is she going to wax you if she doesn't see it? Chat Icon She's got to look at the area she's waxing so she can perform the service. FTR, they're professionals, yours isn't the first vageen they've ever looked at nor will it be the last. They're couldn't care less as should you.

Do you shave beforehand so it's not SO hairy?

Good god NO. If you want to wax NEVER shave again. Shaving is the WORST thing you can do, even between waxing. The problem is that razors make the ends of the hair blunt and it's harder for the wax to grip it when being removed. If for any reason the esthetician thinks you're too hairy she'll trim you with a trimmer. Again, nothing new here for her, if anything they'd rather you be too long than too short. Too long they trim, you get a great, long-lasting wax, too short, you get a horrible, patchy mess.

Should I try it???????

Sure! Why not, what do you have to lose besides some hair? Chat Icon

Got it done once, never again. If you're going completely bare that also involves getting up on all 4s so they can get the back. Hurts like a beyotch too. Had I known that I would have stuck with shaving. It's not for me at all.

FTR, I've been waxing for over ten years on and off, have gone to varying places and have NEVER, EVER, EVER had to get on all fours. EVER. Chat Icon

This chick's mistake, and a HUGE one at that, was that she went to a nail place. Good god NEVER go to a nail salon for a wax. For Christ's sake they're known to fluck up eyebrows, I'd never let them wax my lady bits!

A good, reputable place that uses hard wax (the one that doesn't need actual strips to pull off, like in the European Waxing Center) and that doesn't hurt quite as much.

To ensure there is less pain, you can also take two alleve about 40 minutes beforehand, that will help too.
