Chalkboard Paint - Fridge
Has anyone successfully done this?
If so:
Do you need to prime it? I've heard yes with a magnetic primer. I've also heard just use chalk as a primer and some say NO.
I want to do it but, if I screw it up...I ruin my fridge!

Re: Chalkboard Paint - Fridge
why not do it to a separate thin piece of wood or metal (give it a good rough scrub with a scouring brush or brillo to roughen up the surface so the paint adheres better. then attach that to your fridge...so when you don't want it you can just take that piece off? you can add a frame to it too.
OR
they have roll out chalkboard rolls like this one:
it's like contact paper but chalkboard...you could just stick that on.

I did not do my frig but I did use it on a door in the kitchen. We used magnetic primer and it is barely magnetic. We used 3 coats.
Then we put the chalkboard paint on. Love the chalkboard. DS draws on the bottoms part and I use the top part for shoping lists.
