Anyone use chalkboard paint in your LO's room?
I was thinking this may be a cute idea....or a big disaster.
TIA

Not in a bedroom, but my sister used it on a hallow core door and it worked great! It was a pantry door in the kitchen and they would put the weekly schedule/menu/events on it and of course the kids would draw on it. The door was replaced before the paint wore out :)

I HATE the mess of chalk so no flipping way! More power to moms that deal with chalk and play doh.

not in her room, but in her playroom. I painted half circles to look likes big hills in two different color greens. I bought flower decals to put on top coming out of the hills. DD is 19 months and I have yet to break out the chalk though! Right now it looks like regular paint, you need to rub chalk on it and wipe it off to get the chalkboard effect.

The people who lived here before us had it. I got rid of it. I think it will give the kid mixed signals on what walls they can/cannot write on.

I have really been wanting to do this, but the above is the reason why I haven't.

Same for my friend - they painted the lower portion of the wall and then framed it out like a real chalkboard. It looks awesome and her son loves it.

I am on the fence about doing this in our basement when we re-do it.
I also like the idea of the magnetic paint.
