Shortness of breath

Anyone experiencing this?? I'm 29 weeks and I'm struggling in this department. With my prior pregnancies, I would feel like this but towards the very end. I don't know if I can take this for 11 weeks. I can't even eat because it makes it that much harder to breathe. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Shortness of breath

Yes! I'm 35 weeks and it started getting bad a little over a month ago. In my second trimester, I just had to slow down my walking. Now, I get to the top of my stairs (I live in a second story apartment), and it's like I just ran a marathon! I'm hoping it gets better after I have the baby b/c I don't know how I'm going to lug up the baby every day!

This is terrible!!! My coworker was getting worried because she could hear me taking deep long breaths constanly. I would understand if I'm actively doing something but it happens when I'm sitting down as well.

Shortness of breath

This happens to me all the time, more when I'm sitting down, doing nothing than when I'm actually active. Im almost 36wks now, but this has been going on for longer than i can even remember at this point. I have a super short torso, so I just don't think there is enough room for my lungs to fully expand. It drives me nuts, but not much i can do about it!

I had it with my twins. I could barely have a conversation by the end. I think it is normal.

Re: Shortness of breath

Today I feel much better. I can do this if it's not every day. I guess I can't complain. It can be worst right, like no sleeping at all.

I was just going to post something asking about the same thing! I just hit 12 weeks on Monday, and I'm noticing this too... Should I be worried because it's so early?

I have the same thing - I read online that its not because of the baby pressing on your lungs, which is the reason later on. Its because your blood flow has increased so much in the first several weeks and your body is getting use to that.
