I find their dress selection to be the best of all department stores!
Ditto. I also go to Kohl's and Century 21 in person or Modcloth.com online.

THIS!!! I had a nightmare last April - Had a gown for a black tie gala the organization I work for was throwing, brought it in for alterations and the woman completely RUINED the dress. I of course didn't try it on until the NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT. So completely panic stricken I set out to Roosevelt Field Mall in search of a replacement. I tried everywhere and then on a whim decided to go to Bloomingdales - I didn't want to spend too much but was desperate. Lo and behold I wind up getting a dress for $135! Marked down from $300! AND the best part, they do alterations!
Definitely give them a shot.
Also, try White House Black Market. Depending on the season they can have a pretty decent after six dress collection.

try the gallery at westbury plaza. they have nordstrom rack, off 5th saks fifth ave., and bloomingdales outlet.

This is gunna sound weird but, check out dress barn. I was there for some random reason and I was actually impressed with the selection. That being said, I was just at RF Macy's last week looking for dresses and they had tons.
