is it too early to start registering???

I am 15w and 2 days.... my shower is going to be early 12/1 due to my busy season and the holidays so I want to get started on the registry...

is it too soon? I mean I would think that gives me a month or so before invitaitions are sent out so I would need to start!

I started registering at about 13 weeks since they gave us a gender prediction at the NT Scan. I didn't tell anybody about the registry until about 20-25 weeks though in case i changed my mind about certain items (or the gender prediction was wrong).

We waited til we found out genders. You can always keep it private. People probably won't even know about it until invitations go out.

It's definitely not to early!! Even if you are going to find out the gender, you can still register for things that aren't biased one way or the other. Even big things you could keep neutral if you think you are going to want to have another!!

Did you find out the gender yet? Or are you planning on it? I don't think I'd register until I knew the gender.

I would say it was too early. I registered at around 17 weeks, and so many things were discontinued by the time my baby shower came around. But I guess being that you are having your shower very early, it wouldn't make much of a difference.

I personally waited until I knew gender. We found out early with a 3d sono and then I waited a week because I wanted my sister to come with me. I was 17 weeks when I registered. If you are planning on registering for gender specific items, wait. If you want gender neutral, there is no harm in picking the big stuff now. Registering is overwhelming anyway and could take a few times, so starting early isn't a bad thing!

We are finding out the gender.... But we also are keeping the big item neutral in hopes that someday we have another. We went to BBB and started the big stuff a few hours ago :) we still have plenty of stuff to add on and can add girl or boy stuff later.

My shower is going to be early too (12/9) and had we not gotten that news at the CVS we had planned on registering this weekend, but now we're going to wait for the results of the amnio to come back, but I say go for it! My mom still took us to pick out the nursery furniture today. This way you have some time to do research and can add/remove thing for the next few weeks before the invites go out!

Possibly Friday... If not, they said then definitely Monday. It's killing me.

I don't think it's too early at all! I started around 16 or 17 weeks. I'm 21 weeks now and STILL have things to add. For me it was overwhelming the first time; so I go to the store and add a little bit at a time. I go crazy with the research so it's taking me a while LOL!
