Took a childbirth class Saturday ..
It was supposed to be from 9-5
We left at lunch ... it did more harm than good! After seeing the video of the completely naked woman on all fours yelling with two doctors behind her pulling a head out I knew it was time to goooo.
Im going by the motto "ignorance is bliss" going forward!

Took a childbirth class Saturday ..
LOL that class sounds awful! Ours was VERY different, but it wasn't a one-day thing. It was over 6 weeks, 2 hours once a week. We did lots of hands-on stuff, like trying different labor positions together, working on massage techniques, and discussing options (both elective and forced) so we'd be prepared. It was a wonderful class! We never once watched clips like that!
Last time I remember watching a birth was in health class in 10th grade I think! (They also made us watch a liposuction in that class... yuck!!!!!) I didn't even want to watch my own daughter being born. They offered me a mirror and I declined lol.

That sounds awful, lol.
We didn't take a class but watched this DVD over the course of a couple of weeks. My sister recommended it to me and DH and I thought it was great, informative without being too graphic or OOT. I'd highly recommend it,

I am so with you! I took this class last weekend and was so over it!
Our instructor bascially acted like we were the devil for wanting an epidural and not breast feeding. LOL

That's exactly why I didn't take any classes nor did I watch any videos. I wanted to just go with the flow. The more I knew the more I'd be scared LOL
PS: the nurse and doctor will tell you what to do, what may help etc. so really no need for the classes IMO

This exactly! They told me what to do... I didn't want to know too much... And what was funny was within the first 10 mins of me being in my Labor and Delivery room, the woman next door was delivering and screaming bloody murder. I said to DH, I hope it's because she didn't have an epidural lol

DH was going to Video DD's birth and I told him not to. I told him I didn't want to see anything down there for fear I'd be scarred for life. I actually regret that decision now. I can't get that moment back  so for anyone reading this, def don't make the mistake I did. It may not be pretty but it's something you will always get to relive!
