If you took a childbirth class ...
How long before your due date did you take it?

Re: If you took a childbirth class ...
I'm 31 weeks and started the prep for childbirth class last week. We have our second class tonight. I would say that I'm the minority in the class as almost everyone is due in June or July.

The all day at my hosp. (LIJ) was a couple of weeks before my due date and I just wasn't comfortable with that. As long as September is early September, I would do that one.
ETA: They also sell out really quickly so don't wait too long.

Re: If you took a childbirth class ...
I didn't take a class, but DH and I borrowed the Laugh and Learn videos from the library. It took a few nights for us to work through them. I thought that they were very helpful and we were able to go at our own pace.
After DS was born, we took a BF class at the hospital and met with two lactation consultants. In all honesty, I hated one of the lactation consultants. My mom (who nursed 3 kids for a year each) was a MUCH better resource.

Re: If you took a childbirth class ...
I was 30ish weeks when we started. It was a 6-week class. We took a Bradley class and I can't say enough good things about it.

Re: If you took a childbirth class ...
My doctor offers classes in his office. I contacted the woman who does them. I am starting on June 26th and I will be 31 weeks.
