We tried today and DS had 8accidents but its probably my fault. After accident 3 he understood to tell me he had to go but by the time my huge azz got him up, to the potty, and undies down, he would have an accident. I cant move fast enough. My body now literally aches and im having so many bh contractions.

Should i just wait till after baby?? I dont know what to do now. I dont want to confuse the poor kid and go back to pullups but idk if my body can handle 2 more days of this.

ETA: he woke up dry after his 2hr nap today and told me he had to potty but i missed it again. Hes 33 months.

Hmmm...worth a shot. My DD got in by day 2, same age as your DS.

I would normally say wait, but since your DS is 33 mths, I would say give it a shot. Supposedly they may regress if another child comes along, etc, but maybe not. I say give it a shot and if he doesn't get it by day 3, wait again for a couple of mths till baby is here and things are a bit more normal.

I would just wait. Dc already has a huge change coming up, and you are very far along

This is what I was going to say. I would wait until after the baby is born and he has had time to get settled and comfortable with all the changes.

ITA. NO reason to stress both of you out right now.

I did the 3 day potty method and it worked great. Ds was naked from the waist down and the potty went with us in every room that we were in. That way if he started to go I could just put him on the potty right away. By day 2 I had him in shorts and by day 3 we moved his potty in the bathroom.

If you are up for it and he is ready, it can't hurt to try. My DS PT'd 3 days before I gave birth and he never regressed. GL!

Hmmm...I wanted to start DS when I was pregnant but it did not happen. DS was not yet 2 years old yet. I did not even attempt to try though. I picked it back up 6 months after the little one was born. Most of DS's friends were potty trained around 2-3.

If you already started, I would keep at it. We CONSTANTLY asked him if he had to pee. I want to say it only took about 1 week.

eta: Is your DS going to preschool in the fall? If so, I would let him learn from his classmates. They go in a line and I'm sure he would want to be part of the group.

DS started preschool at 2.5 and he asked us for underwear. He wanted to be like the other boys in the class. Half his class was potty trained in the beginning of the year. Halfway though, the entire class was potty trained.
