A lot. I live in the city and go to this fancy french guy downtown. Crazy pricy but the best cuts I've ever had. He's amazing
I'd expect to have to pay $250+ in the city and I am not even sure if that would be for a fancy french guy downtown!!!! I know several people who spend about $500 in the city.
On LI I pay $60 at a very nice salon with a great hairdresser. There's just that much of a difference in prices out here. My hairdresser goes to all the fancy shows, etc. My mom still thinks I over pay.

I pay $125 BUT I have very curly hair and go to Ouidad, who specializes in that. My curly hair never looked nice - now it does - worth every penny.

Ladies- I go to a neighborhood salon on the south shore. I pay $32 for wash, cut and dry. The woman I see has skills. I realized that it's not about how fancy a salon is, it's all about an individual's talent.

About $100 for cut and color. I have thick hair, so it needs a lot of color.
I also searched for years to find a salon I like, and finally found one...so I'd pay way more than $100 if they wanted me to!

$25 for wash, cut, & blow out. I go to someone's home, and she does a great job. Not the same experience as going to a nice salon, but saves me a ton of money!
